National Health Portal (NHP) launched by Govt. of India

indiaThe Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has set up National Health Portal (NHP) to provide a single point access for authentic health information for the citizens, students, and health professionals at different levels.

For making the port operational, a Centre for Health Informatics has been established as a project under the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi

A systematic process of content generation, review and validation is a key feature of the portal. In order to accomplish this mammoth task, they solicit participation from individuals, experts, from both public and private sectors. We are in the process of identifying individuals and institutes who can serve as content writers and validators in their chosen areas of interest and expertise. We wish to install a suitable content management system to manage the whole process.

We do hope that the proposed Indian Academy of Health Professionals, health sciences universities and medical colleges and health sciences institutes will play a key role in furthering this national initiative.
