New DelhiDec 4: A high-level delegation of the Liga Homoeopathica Medicorum Internationalis (LMHI) today called on the President of India Mrs.Pratibha Devi Singh Patil at Rashtrapathi Bhavan.

The delegation, led by the LMHI President Dr.Jose Matuk Kanan(Mexico) expressed its continued support to India in popularizing Homoeopathy in all aspects, as the country has been witnessing “medical pluralism” par excellence.

The LMHI had sought cooperation ofIndiain constituting a “joint working committee” to further strengthen homoeopathy, particularly in standardization of drugs and evolution of protocols for drug safety and drug controls. This may need active political support.

The LMHI also said it was ready to collaborate withIndiafor joint research projects involving the prestigious bodies like the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) and different working groups for strengthening the system of medicine founded by German physician Samuel Hahnemann.

The global body was also keen to promote research in collaboration with the IIT’s in various aspects of fundamental research in Homoeopathy.

The President had a patient hearing. The delegation includes foreign delegates, office bearers of Indian chapter of the LMHI besides Indian homoeopathic associations, drug manufacturers, and AYUSH representatives.

The delegates were here to participate in the 4-day 66th World Homoeopathic Congress that concluded today.
