(History of Medicine)

1. Aesculapius concepts in Medicine was challenged by Hahnemann. Explain the
reasons and logic behind the criticism.                                                                    15
2. Explain the different phases of development of Hindu Medicine in ancient India.   15

3. Short notes:
a) Thomas Sydenham
b) Doctrine of signature
c) Asumruthaka Pareeksha
d) Inductive logic in Medicine.                                                             (4x5=20 Marks)

SECTION - B
(Method of Research and Statistics)
Time: 1½ Hours Max. Marks: 50

I.What is sampling ? Explain briefly the various methods of selecting a representative
sample.                                                                                                                15
II. Write short notes on:
1).Research & design 2) Analysis of variance.                                      (2x10=20 Marks)

11I.Capacity of 12 children were tested before and after a specific training. State statistically whether the training was effective for improving the memory capacity.
