We are pleased to inform you that IIPHG is organising the 5th batch of short-term training in Qualitative Research Methods in health and medical research between 25th and 27th of April 2012. In public health and medicine qualitative research methods are being used in a wide range of situation from exploratory studies, process documentation, monitoring and assessment of field interventions, health technology assessment, etc.
It is also being used alongside RCTs as adjunct procedures for various reasons such as drafting and testing of research protocols, explaining findings, and formation and working with community advisory groups for field trials etc. The strength of QRM lies in bringing out insiders’ meanings, capturing processes and bringing out the contexts in which events happen.
