VARANASI: Drug companies claiming to provide aphrodisiacs, cure obesity and diabetes and other chronic ailments through print and electronic media may come under scanner as department of AYUSH, ministry of health and family welfare is set to take stern action.

The department has also approached the directorate of audio visual publicity, government of India to take action against such misleading advertisements.

“There have been plenty of instances of misleading advertisements and it was necessary to take action against such cases. The circulation of these advertisements violates the law and causes loss of money, time and self-esteem,” [Source]
