Homeopathy scholarships
for Sri Lnakans |
The
Indian Government has offered 10 scholarships to Sri Lankan
students to follow Homeopathy Medical Degree at the National
Homeopathic Institute in Calcutta, West Bengal.
Prospective students should have passed the GCE (A/L)
examination with physics, science and biology in one sitting and
should be between 18 and 28 years on July 10, 2009.
A knowledge of English is also compulsory.
Applications with details and photo copies of certificates
should reach the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Indigenous
Medicine, Old Kottawa Road, Maharagama before July 15. Top left
hand corner of the envelope should be marked 'Homeopathy
Education Course 2009'.

Courses under NRHM |
The Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under NRHM has
launched various Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Health Sector,
with the partnership of Public Health
Foundation of India (PHFI), CMC Vellore Tamil Nadu & BITS Pilani
& other Govt. organizations for developing public health
management skills to handle public health related issues in
India.
The following Post Graduate Diploma Courses have been
contemplated in the various Institutions spread across various
States in India.

3. Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology

Out of above four courses, Post Graduate Diploma in Public

Foundation of India (PHFI) in their institutions located in
Ahmedabad, New Delhi & Hyderabad, NIHFW New Delhi, JIPMER
Puducherry, MGIMS Sewagram Wardha Maharashtra and AIIH&PH
Kolkata.
PGDPHM is 12 month residential programme fully sponsored by the
Government. Candidates are nominated by respective State

Postgraduate Diploma course in Medical Law and Ethics |
Legal Studies (NUALS) here
has invited applications for admission to its Postgraduate
Diploma course in Medical Law and Ethics.
An official communication said that the intake for the programme
is 50.
The duration of the course is one year.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any system of medicine,
dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, hospital administration /
Bachelor’s degree in law recognised by NUALS can apply.
Applications are available at NUALS’ office in Kaloor on payment
of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates). Application forms can
also be downloaded from the university website ( www.nuals.ac.in).
Candidates downloading forms from the website should submit a
demand draft for Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST students) drawn on
any bank payable in Kochi along with the application form.

Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
introduced its scholarship programme in many countries including
India in the year of 1983 with a view to promote professional
education among Muslim community.
This emerged as the main source of our programme. The
scholarship is given as an interest-free loan (qardh-e-hasna) to
the students but as a grant to the Muslim communities to which
they belong to in the shape of its refunds.

MFG invites applications for
scholarships |
|
PANAJI — With an aim to
promote professional and technical education in the mining belt,
the Mineral Foundation of Goa (MFG), has invited applications
from students for scholarships.
The scholarships are for the academic year 2009-10 and only for
students who have completed their higher secondary education in Goa and who live in the mining belt. The scholarship will cover
the tuition and college hostel fees for the duration of the
course.
The courses on offer are medicine, dental, homeopathy, Ayurveda,
pharmacy, nursing, engineering degree, architecture, fine arts,
home science, B Ed, law, masters degrees from Goa University,
MBA, and all diploma and ITI courses from government institutes.
