Eligibility for
admission:-
Candidates who have passed the S.S.L.C or equivalent examination
with a minimum 50% marks with eligibility to undergo University
courses are eligible for admission. In the case of SC/ST
candidates those who possess 40% marks in the above examination
are eligible foe admission.
Age limit :-
Candidates between the age of 17 to 23 are eligible to apply.
The maximum age limit for departmental candidates will be 40 .
Duration of Course:-
The duration of the course will be for a period of 12 months (
minimum 300 working days ).
Certificate:-
The certificate " Nurse-Cum-Pharmacist Training in
Homoeopathy" will be awarded to the candidates only after
successful completion of the course after having secured a pass
in the examination conducted by a Board of Examination appointed
for the purpose.
Fees:-
No tuition fee will be levied from the candidates. But every
selected candidates will have to remit a caution deposit of
Rs.200/- which will be released on completion of the course or
adjusted towards damage/losses if any made by them.
How to apply:-
Application forms can be had from the office of the Principal,
Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Iranimuttom, Manacaud (PO),
Thiruvananthapuram-9 and Principal, Govt. Homoeopathic Medical
College, Karaparamba, Kozhikode-10, on payment of Rs. 50/-
towards cost of the form at the office counter. Applicants
desiring to get the forms by post should remit Rs. 80/- by money
order. The full post address of the candidates must be legibly
written in the M.O. Coupen.

Application forms duly filled in along with the following
documents should reach the office of the Principal, Govt.
Homoeopathic Medical College, Iranimuttom, Manacaud (po),
Thiruvananthapuram-9.
Documents to be attached:-
(a). Copeis of the S.S.L.C or equivalent to prove age and
qualification duly attested by a Gazatted Officer.
(b). Nativity Certificate for all applicant except Departmental
candidates.
(c) Income and Community Certificate obtained from the village
Officer concerned in respect of candidates seeking admission
against the seats reserved for other backward classes.
Candidates whose annual family income is above Rs. 42,000/- will
not be eligible for selection against the seats reserved for
Other Backward Classes. Community Certificate in respect of
SC/ST candidates must be obtained from a Revenue Officer not
below the rank of a Tahsildar.
(d). A Service Certificate and a No Objection Certificate to
relieve the candidate if selected from the Appointing Authority
in the case of Departmental Candidates.
(e). A recent passport size photograph of the candidate must be
affixed in the space provided in the application form and must
be attested by a Gazetted Officer.
(f). Receipt obtained towards the cost of application form.
Selection:-
Total number of seats will be 120. The course will be
conducted in the following Govt. Homoeopathic Medical Colleges.
Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram – 60
seats.
Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode – 60 seats.
(a) Selection of
candidates except reserved seats, will be
made district wise. The number of seats for each district
will be as follows :
Thiruvananthapuram
Ernakulam
Thrissur
Alappuzha
Malappuram
Kozhikode
Kollam 6 seats each
Kannur
Kottayam 5 seats each
Palakkad
Pathanamthitta
Wayanad
Idukki
Kasargod 4 seats each
(b).10 seats are reserved for Full Time regular officiating
Departmental candidates with a distribution as follows:
Candidates from Department of Homoeopathy --- 6
Candidates from Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Calicut &
Thiruvananthapuram. ----4.
(c). 72 seats will be filled up on the basis of merit as in Para
(a). above.
(d). 26 seats will be filled up by the candidates belonging to
OBCs on the basis of the following reservation:
Ezhava 9% ---- 9 seats.
Muslim 8% ---- 8 seats.
Latin Catholic Other than Anglo Indian 2% ---- 2 seats.
Other backward Christian including
SIUC and converts to Christianity from SC 1% ---- 2 seats.
Other backward Hindu 5% ---- 5 seats.
(e).10% of the
total seats ( 12 seats ) will be reserved for SC/ST candidates (
10 seats for SC and 2 seats for ST ). If sufficient candidates
are not available under SC quota will be allotted to ST and vice
versa.
(f).The candidates called for will have to appear for an
interview in the Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College,
Thiruvananthapuram at their own expense. Appearing for interview
will not be a claim for selection.
(g). Physically handicapped candidates will not be eligible for
selection.
(h). Candidates seeking admission must be unmarried and should
not marry before the completion of the course.
Stipend:-
None of the candidates undergoing training will be given any
stipend. However SC/ST and OBC candidates will be eligible for
educational concession from the concerned Department subject to
the rules governing the award of concessions.
Residence:-
Selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for
their accommodation.
Examination :-
Annual and Supplementary examination will be conducted by an
Examination Board constituted for the purpose.
