The police were tipped off by Sudheer,a planter from Arakere, who had paid Rs 50,000 for the rice-puller.He was shown its pictures and was asked to pay another Rs 2 lakh before it was delivered.

But Sudheer grew suspicious and alerted the police. Sudheer told the trio to reach a secluded place with the rice-puller where he promised to hand over the balance money. The doctor and gang walked straight into the police net,Singh said.[Source]
