The conference will feature national and international experts in the field of Health Professions Education as well presentation of educational research reports with the goal of evaluating the current evidence base related to scenario of HPE in India and assess options for curricular reforms. Rapid advances in the field of Health Professions Education and as per the recommendations of the National Knowledge Commission (NKC), it is very important to reform higher education including Health Professions Education with the aim of developing trained Human Resource for Health.

This is also in line with the efforts of the Medical Council of India, University Grants Commission and other regulatory councils governing health professions education to orient HPE to meet the challenges of National Rural Health Mission and help the country achieve Millennium Development Goals and ensure equitable health care for the people of India.
