Post graduate course is a great opportunity to enhance the standard of homoeopathy education in India.
Unfortunately like U.G. course we have not been able to put a good structure in place for higher studies.
Many good colleges have been denied chance to run P.G. course, while many ill equipped colleges have been give permission to start P.G. course.

One good college which has been denied chance to start P.G. course is Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College , New Delhi . College has been on the forefront of homoeopathic education in India. Hospital with NHMC is superior than most hospitals attached with homoeopathic colleges. In fact with three professor.one each in organon, materia medica and medicine,college could have started P.G.course in these three subjects. P.G. course were started in Rajasthan ,Maharastha. Gujrat , Kerala and other states but not in New Delhi .

Asked why P.G. was not happening in NHMC one senior C.C.H.member attributed it to lack of will on the part of college management . This doctor told Vital Informer write ;college never seriously approached c.c.h. to get permission to start a P.G.course. Another senior doctor told that delay in starting P.G. course at NHMC is genuine to some extent .In case of private colleges c.c.h. permission is a mere formality; they might not have the minimum facilities to start a P.G. course but they can put every thing on paper and lobby for permission. As a result many colleges who were not running even U.G course to satisfaction manipulated to get c.c.h. permission to start P.G. NHMC being govt. number of staff and other facilities can not be manipulated for any purpose. Moreover they had problem with C.C.H. regarding BHMS otherwise it could start a P.G. over 5 years back.

At last chances of starting a P.G. at NHMC are bright .College has requisite staff ,facility is improving all the while. Moreover college has written to C.C.H. to seek permission. There also has been soothing of relationship between two organization .Once C.C.H clears the proposal getting permission from govt. of Delhi and D.U. would not be a problem

C.C.H. is dominated was by NHMC alumnus , Drs.Bakshi , Juneja ,Anil Sharma,Anil Bhaweja & R.K.. Manchanda are NHMC product .Dr.D.P.Rastogi chairman C.C.H. P.G. committee is a former principal of NHMC. Let us hope they will click together to give NHMC its P.G.
