Homeopathy has been around
since the 1700's.
There were two schools that developed then, one was Homeopathy,
and the other Allopathy (modern Physicians {MD's} are Allopaths).
The big money was with the
Allopaths.
Medical schools, associations, and all the specialties,
pharmacies, etc., derived from the Allopathic thought.
Homeopathy and Homeopathic
medicines or remedies, as they are called, are used today in
Allopathic applications, for example, the Homeopathic
preparation Colchicine, which is Saffron, causes, when eaten in
quantity, Gout, as one of its symptoms of poisoning. Allopaths
use Colchicine today, as a treatment for Gout, and most of them
don't even realize that they are using a Homeopathic remedy that
has been around since the 1700's!
The Mayo Clinic just published a paper saying that "in their
opinion, Homeopathic treatment works." "Like cures Like".
Homeopathy is a 200 year old, well-established practice based on
principles attuned to an individual's body.
Their basic principle is that
"like cures like'' or the Law of Similars.
A substance that would cause specific symptoms when taken in its
raw form will alleviate those symptoms, but THE SYMPTOMS MUST
MATCH!
Rather than focusing on disease organisms, and how to kill them,
as in the case with synthetic medicines, Homeopathy works to
eliminate the imbalance that allowed those certain disease
organisms, worms, conditions, etc., to proliferate.
In Homeopathy, we look for SYMPTOMS, which lead to finding the
imbalance.
Germs, bacteria, pathogens, worms and their eggs are present
everywhere, all the time. The reason why some people become ill,
or infested with worms, is because those pathogens find the
conditions favorable to their growth.
You wouldn't blame a fly maggot for a piece of rotting meat
would you?
The maggot is an opportunist finding a place to live and grow
where conditions are most favorable, living off of the detritus
of the rotting carcass.
So, is the germ, bacteria, condition, etc. If a person's body is
in balance, (and the Natural state of the Human body is Health,
in its most perfect form), then worm eggs, bacterium, etc., will
not proliferate, and the body's own defenses will eliminate the
egg, or envelop the bacterium, and the person will not even know
that a battle has been fought and won inside his body.
Homeopathic remedies are made by sucussion..that is, for
an example, the sucussion of an Herb into a homeopathic remedy
is thus:
An Herb or substance is pulverized into a mass in a mortar. The
mass, is then dissolved into alcohol (if that is the correct
agent for the particular Herb or substance, water or other
materials are used also). That is left for a proscribed amount
of time, the parent or translucent liquid is drawn off into
another clean vessel, and that is a Mother Tincture.
One drop of the Mother tincture
is put into a bottle of water or alcohol, and sucussed, or
rapped against a hard surface, 100 times. Of that mixture, one
drop is taken, the rest is put away, and the drop is put into a
new, clean vessel of liquid, and sucussed again. To reach a IX
potency, the remedy has to be sucussed many times.
The smaller potencies, 3X, 6X,
3OX, are like shooting at the condition with a shotgun. Some
particles will make a bull’s-eye, but in case there are other
attenuating circumstances that may need treatment the broader
spectrum of the low potencies will often be of more value. The
lower potencies are Weaker in strength.
The higher potencies; 1M, 10M,
50M, CM, and MM, are much more potent and are used like a high
powered rifle. They do not bother themselves with other
conditions but are very specific in their actions. If they miss,
or it is the wrong remedy, they will prove, or they will do
nothing at all. If it is the correct remedy, they will
completely cure the condition permanently.
A Homeopathic remedy may do three things:
It may cure.
It may do nothing at all.
Or it may prove ".
To "prove", means the remedy will temporarily cause the symptoms
it is given to eliminate. An antidote is always recommended to
have on hand, to eliminate this possibility.
The British Medical profession's revered publication: "The
Lancet" acknowledges that the Homeopathic Doctrine is true.
For the practice of Homeopathy, we must know the symptoms which
each remedy has produced, and we must have these so arranged,
that they can be found instantly for any required region of the
body. Samuel Hahneman the Father of Homeopathy as we know it,
arranged them, for each of the remedies tested (proven), in a
definite anatomical order, and this arrangement is the
foundation of the order in which the symptoms are given in all
works on the subject compiled since his day.
The Homeopathic Materia Medicas thus consist of schematic
arrangements of the symptoms produced by each remedy, together
with applications from the observed action of remedies in
practice.
Just remember, the LOWER the potency, that is, the closest to
the Mother tincture is,( 3X, 3OX), the WEAKER, but BROADER its
action. A low potency has to be taken for a longer period of
time in order to cure.
The Higher potencies, (30C, 100C,
1M, CM, etc.), the less (almost on a molecular level) actual
substance it contains, but is STRONGER, and more PRECISE in its
action.
Usually one or two doses of a high potency will cure, if its
application is correct.
Normal doses are about one part per million, or even less, of
inert ingredients, and although these seem rather small, they
still contain highly refined properties which are very powerful
in helping the body heal itself.
Personally, I liken a Homeopathic
remedy to a Computer Chip., and the body, a Computer. If some
processes are out of balance, or off.. the remedy, when taken.
acts like a collective chip inserted into the computer, which
click click clicks the out of balance conditions back to where
they are supposed to be.
Homeopathic remedies are widely
available. They are sold now, at your regular pharmacies, off
the shelf. No prescriptions are needed for most.
The remedies are very inexpensive, with One dose going for about
$5.
All Homeopathics are Safe and Effective, and have been used for
Hundreds of Years.
I have been a Homeopath for 30 years.
I do Research in Homeopathy for
Physicians, Psychiatrists, and Veterinarians, as well as
Individuals, Researching 167 different Materia Medicas from all
over the world, each containing over 3,000 remedy descriptions
to match each individual's unique symptomologies.
While the practice of homeopathy
has evolved since its founding over 130 years ago, its
methodology has essentially remained more or less the same. The
homeopathic practitioner takes an extensive case history of the
patient, including physical and emotional symptoms. A
homeopathic remedy is given for a prescribed amount of time. The
doctor notices the change in symptoms, at which time the remedy
may be continued or a new one prescribed.
There are numerous approaches to
homeopathic prescribing, but one of the most widely taught and
used is the "constitutional" or "classical" approach. In this
approach, after taking the patient's case history, the
practitioner selects a single remedy that best fits the patient,
considering the range of physical and mental symptoms and the
patient's life history. To find the remedy, homeopathic
practitioners often consult Kent's Repertory, a comprehensive
listing organized by a hierarchy of symptoms, including mental,
physical/general, and specific symptoms. The constitutional or
classical approach is predominantly used for chronic cases, such
as allergies, insomnia, digestion, menstrual difficulties, and
behavioral/emotional disorders. This approach only works if the
patient has NEVER before taken a homeopathic remedy.
Another common approach is known
as "acute prescribing" and is used for conditions that have
arisen suddenly, such as influenza, cough, diarrhea, or
stomachache. These conditions are usually treated with
low-potency remedies that may be repeated every few hours. In
acute prescribing, remedies are selected based on what is most
likely to help that particular condition. An example of a
commonly used remedy for acute conditions is arnica, which is
given for injuries that result in bruising or muscular pain. I
do not recommend this approach.
"Complex homeopathy" is another common approach to homeopathic
prescribing, in which several homeopathic remedies are combined
for a given symptom, such as back pain. Combination remedies are
usually given for acute symptoms in low potencies. The complex
approach has become more popular with the rise of
over-the-counter homeopathic remedies, but may also be used by
homeopathic practitioners. The appeal of this approach is that
it increases the possibility that the right remedy for the
patient will be included in the combination, whereas it may be
missed in single remedy prescribing. However, in the case of
over the counter remedies, any remedy which is incorrect for the
patient, will "Prove" and must be antidoted. This approach is
best taken by a trained Homeopath who can choose the best
combination of remedies for each individual based on exhaustive
research of all the patient's Symptoms (rubrics).
Finally, "instrument-aided
prescribing" or "electro-dermal information processing" (EDI) is
an approach to homeopathy in which a remedy is chosen based on
energetic imbalances in the patient that are measured with a
device. In one such device, a pencil-like probe assesses the
patient's energy along acupuncture meridian points. The patient
holds a metallic tube with a damp cloth around it that is
connected via a wire to the machine. If an imbalance is detected
in a specific meridian, the homeopath prescribes the remedy by
having the patient hold a remedy thought to relieve the
imbalance.
