In a surprise letter by the Mr P Vijaya Kumar, Deputy Director of AYUSH ,directed Kerala Government not to start Diploma Course in Homoeopathy Pharmacy of two years and three months duration.
Homoeopaths and Kerala Government surprised on receiving this letter.
Earlier Govt. of Kerala winds up the 9 months Nurse cum Pharmacist Courses in Kerala, and decided to start 2 year Diploma in Homoeopathy Pharmacy & 3 year General Nursing in Homoeopathy.
Govt. of Kerala designed a very good syllabus, curriculum, training programme, infrastructure ,including class rooms, furniture and teachers in both Homeopathy Colleges in collaboration with HOMCO Kerala for the D Pharm Homeopathy Course. Directed LBS to conduct Entrance Examinations at the earliest. They already started the exam procedures. Everything in the final stage.
Cabinet earlier sanctioned Rs.200 Lakhs for the Homoeopathy Pharmacy College.
Why AYUSH has much concern about this?
There is no Pharmacy or Nursing Council in Homoeopathy
Here is the true but sad story
For starting para medical diploma courses, certificate courses or PhD - prior permission or sanction from CCH or AYUSH not required. For starting Medical degree courses only requires recognition from CCH, MCI or AYUSH. Any Govt. can start paramedical courses.
Govt. of Kerala or the Principal and controlling officer of Homoeopathy not yet requested AYUSH so far – regarding the matter of Diploma in Homoeopathy Pharmacy Courses.
Then why a letter directly from AYUSH? Specifically mentioning not to start at Govt. Homoeopathic Medical Colleges of Calicut & Trivandrum.
Govt of Kerala wind up NCP- Nurse cum Pharmacist Courses- in Govt. Sector, but still continuing in the self-financing sector – even without basic infrastructure or teachers by nepotism and political pressure.
They are admitting around 30 students – full strength – actually 50% seats should be from Government side.
They are collecting huge amount (Around 3 lakhs) from candidates by assuring Job in the Government sector – since many NCP posts are vacant in GHDs. Nearly 750 homeopathy dispensaries including NRHM requires Nurses/ Pharmacist.
Two BHMS doctors from South Kerala
Dr Anoop T Rajan (Reg. No. 8314)Velithara,Kodaukara, Mariya Puram P O, Neyyattinkara, Trivandrum 27 &
Dr P Babu Rajan (Reg No.588) Alumkadavu P O ,Karunagapally, Kollam-73
Filed a writ petition WPC No.9860 of 2012 before the Kerala High Court – requested to issue an order not to start D Pharm Homoeopathy Courses in Govt Homoeopathic Medical Colleges of Kerala.
For what benefits?
For whose benifits?
Any Binamees from self-financing sector?
Why Kerala Government not interested to start courses in Govt. Colleges – at the same time acting in favor of self-financing sector?.
An upgraded course is always beneficial to Homeopathy, that is why we had started BHMS, MD and PhD courses.
Why Homoeopaths are acting against the growth and development of Homoeopathy?
Even though this courses not come under the preview of AYUSH – Why Deputy Secretary AYUSH has much worry about this?
We must jointly fight against these type of movements that hindering the growth and development of Homoeopathy.
