SECOND YEAR B.H.M.S. DEGREE EXAMINATION, JUNE 2007
Paper III. FORENSIC  MEDICINE AND TOXICOLOGY (New Scheme)
Time : Three Hours          Maximum: 100 Marks
Write sections A and B in separate sheets
 

 

Section A

I. What is viability ? What datas help to determine how long the child survived after birth ? Complications of Criminal Abortion. (3 + 6 ± 6 = 15 marks)

II. How does Teeth help in Identification ? Write the chronology of development of temporary teeth. Differentiate between Human Hair and Animal Hair.     (5 ± 5 ± 5 = 15 marks)

III. Write short notes on:

(a) Oral evidence.

(b) Haemin Crystal Test.

(c) Clinical features of Syncope.

(d) Hyoid bone fracture.                  (4 x 5 20 marks)

 

Section B

I. What are the privileges of a registered medical practitioner ? What are the ethical malpraxis for which a doctor is subjected to professional death sentence?   (5 ± 10 = 15 marks)

II. Explain the mechanical, chemical and physiological Antidotes. What are the features of Poisonous Snakes?   (10 + 5 =15 marks)

III. Write short notes On

(a) Symptoms of Strychnine poisoning.

(b) Blood picture of lead poisoning.

(c) Findings in a Passive Agent of Sodomy.
